"Sapphy" and twin sister Sanna are my favorite daughters yet born to Sheba. Both are tall, elegant "uphill" does, sharp in the withers with beautifully level toplines. They are very wide in the escutcheon, with exellent rear leg angulation. Shown twice, Sapphy was first in her class at the Southern VT show, and one time 3rd, behind Callie and Maritsa.

Striking from the day of birth, for her length of body and  exquisite dairy character, we named Sharon's beautiful 2009 doeling Caliente, as we were confident that she would be "hot"! As a single kid, "Callie" started out at 12 lbs, and has continued to show her dam's width and depth of body, along with her sire's sharpness and stature. Shown three times, Callie placed first every time, and went Reserve Junior Champion twice, including at the large Southern VT show.  On the day of appraisal, the appraiser stated, "this one will be your Best in Show doe!" We had fully intended to breed Callie this fall, but sadly, she had a false pregnancy, so will be shown as a dry yearling this coming season.

Maritsa is another tall, wide and level Petey daughter. Shown twice, she placed third in her class (behind Callie) at Southern VT and in the other show 2nd (also behind Callie). Maritsa's triplet sister went Best Junior Doe in Show in Connecticut, and was Reserve Junior Champion at the Big E 4H show! Her brother, an impressively long and extremely level buckling is now junior herd sire in an Iowa herd. We will definitely be repeating Marta's breeding to Petey this season.

Ebony has been a favorite right from birth. She is a "fancy" doe, very angular, long bodied and level, with the silkiest hair coat I have ever seen on a goat! I was worried when I first clipped her that her new hair coat would be coarser, but not to worry...she is as silky as ever! As one of the late born 2009 kids, she was shown just once, placing first in her class! We will definitely repeat the Velvet X Petey breeding as well.

We sadly made the decision to part with our beautiful Loca this season after she once again developed problems with lactation ketosis. We were very pleased and relieved, however, to be able to retain her lovely daughter by Bruno, and hope that she will carry on the great strengths and production in her dam's line. "Lily" is very similar in type to the Petey kids, showing the same length of body and level topline. She is developing into a powerful doe who has excellent width throughout.

    D: SG Roeburn's Brutus Eliana 8*M FS 91 (E E E E) TOP TEN 2005, 2006, 2007!!

Long awaited, and only the second doe born to 7 year old Eliana, we were absolutely thrilled at the birth of Eliza. She is a pretty chamoisee doe, strong, wide and powerful, with a beautifully level topline. She is heavier in the shoulders than the Petey daughters, but was one of this year's appraiser's favorites of the doe kid population. We can hardly wait to see Eliza in milk, but as the youngest of the 2009 doe kids, we will unfortunately have to wait until 2011!!
