Zydeco was a late season and unplanned purchase. Thinking that we might want to order a 2016 kid out of his dam, Zealot, we went to the Kickapoo-Valley web site and found that Zealot’s 2015 son was still available! We loved this line breeding on CH Scandal, dam of our recently sold sire, Scalleywag, and quickly decided to bring Zydeco to Roeburn. Zydeco’s 3/4 sister, CH Kickapoo-Valley Elegy, placed 1st and 1st place udder at the 2016 National show, then went on to appraise FS 91 (E E E E) at the young age of 2-4!

Zydeco is a long-bodied buck with a beautiful top line. He is very tight and well blended in the shoulders, and wide in the chest floor. He stands with great width in the escutcheon.  His daughters are consistently stylish and very smoothly blended. The daughters we have seen freshen to date have had beautifully attached mammaries.  We were very excited when his 2017 daughter by Amalie (Amity) went Junior Champion in a large Junior show at the annual spring NHDGA show, then her twin, Annika, went Junior Champion and Best Junior Doe in Show at the large Southern Vermont spring show!
