We were excited to have been able to purchase Jed in 2018. It isn’t often that we’ve purchased a junior herd sire out of a first freshener, but Jed not only descends from several of the rising stars at Kickapoo-Valley, but he is linebred on our handsome *B Roeburn’s KVLW Be Proud Merry FS 91 EEE! Proud Merry is the son of Kickapoo-Valley Sir Whimsey (“Petey”), probably the strongest sire we’ve owned for improvement in all areas, and SGCH Roeburn’s Marta, out of one of our heaviest milking lines. Jed is a sharp and dairy, all black buck who excels in length of body and levelness, and shows the excellent rear leg angle that we love. He has thrown that length and body and level topline in the two daughters we have kept in 2019. Jentle now has two GCH legs.
